Summer Camp 2018 Dates:
Sunday July 7th-Sunday July 28th
FORESTCRAFT CAMP is a CO-ED CAMP open to CAMPERS AGES 13-17 who have an adventurous mindset and interest in the outdoors. Our 3 WEEK CAMP focuses on hiking and canoeing adventures within Adirondack State Park where we spend one week hiking
various peaks within the park, followed by a one week canoe trip, and ending with a one week backpack trip, with a few days downtime in-between trips at our base camp. Experiences will include learning skills such as: canoeing, backpacking, camp set up and operation, cooking, fire building, and wood carving. Our base camp is an ideal spot for resting between trips as we are situated on a beautiful bay within Upper Saranac Lake, and campers can enjoy swimming, fishing, volleyball, homemade meals, campfires as well as game and movie nights. What makes Forestcraft Camp particularly unique is that we are a small family camp. The owners, Dan and Amy Musick, along with the guides and counselors are involved in every aspect of the camp from leading the trips to cooking meals and playing games within camp. For this reason, each camper feels part of something special and unique. The program can accommodate as many as 9 participants for a 3-week canoeing/backpacking camp.
If you are interested in adventure, but turned off by large camps, or you are looking for a smaller more personal camp experience, then Forestcraft Camp may be the ideal place for your summer.
